Material Installation

Rain rooms are not just for museums. Our artificial rain installation animates one of the isles at Hunt Library.

To provide patrons of Hunt Library with an unexpected, unprompted liminal encounter in which they personally explore an installation they cannot suspect exists.

Our project will capture snippets of idle conversation around a casual study space by hanging microphones in cans from strands of twine on the ceiling. These microphones will pick up bits of speech, translate them to text, and then tweet them in real time to a public Twitter account. The project is intended for people to interact with it, but not necessarily actively.

Create an interactive water fountain that reacts to the approach of someone drinking at the fountain, specifically by "flooding" the drinker with water.

Use paper strips, wind and light to capture the rhythm and beauty of nature

Build a large scale Newton's Cradle with balls hanging from twine to create a distraction within an academic environment

We created a wire tree which people could charge their phones on, and would play bird calls when people plugged in.
